2. Purposes and legal bases
We process personal data to provide this web application, manage user accounts, store presets and implement security features.
Legal bases include, in particular, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract/contract-like use), Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR (legal obligations), and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in IT security and stable operation).
3. Website provision and server log files
Each time the website is accessed, technically required connection data is processed (e.g. IP address, timestamp, user agent, requested URL, status codes) to ensure service delivery and security.
This processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
4. User account
When registering and using an account, we process in particular first name, last name, email address, password hash, registration and verification timestamps, documented acceptances or acknowledgements relating to legal texts and product notices, and account settings (e.g. language, timezone, theme preference, notification options).
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
5. Presets, notes and exports
When you create or edit presets, we store the preset data, overrides and notes you provide.
For PDF exports, temporary export data is processed during generation (including metadata such as request time and, where applicable, IP relation). Export files are automatically cleaned up according to technical deletion periods.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
6. Security and account protection
To protect accounts, we process security-relevant events (e.g. login, password change, email change, 2FA activities) including IP address, user agent and timestamp.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
7. Cookies, sessions and technical storage
We use technically necessary cookies and session mechanisms (e.g. login session, CSRF protection, language settings). These are required for secure application operation.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG (where applicable).
8. Recipients and data processing agreements
Personal data is only processed to the extent required for operation, security and communication. Technical service providers (e.g. hosting, email delivery) may be used as processors.
Data is not shared for advertising purposes.
Transfers to third countries only take place where a valid legal framework and appropriate safeguards under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR are in place.
9. Storage period
We store personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purposes or as required by statutory retention obligations.
Account data and user-related content are removed upon account deletion according to implemented deletion routines. Technically required residual data (e.g. in backups) is overwritten within regular backup cycles.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have in particular the following rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection.
If you have given consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.
11. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.
12. Data security
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, manipulation and unauthorized access.
This includes, in particular, access controls, role-based permissions and secured transmission channels (e.g. TLS/HTTPS).
13. Source of data
We primarily process data that you provide directly (e.g. during registration, profile updates and preset editing).
Additional technical metadata is generated when using the application (e.g. IP address, session and device information).
14. Automated decisions
Automated decision-making, including profiling pursuant to Art. 22 GDPR, does not take place.
15. Updates to this privacy policy
We update this privacy policy when features, legal requirements or processing procedures change.
